Hawthorn Pest Control was setup by Matthew Freeman, a countryman who has a passion for country pursuits which consists of many traditional pest control methods that have been handed down through the generations. From an early age, Matthew would spend his days out in the countryside with his Grandfather and Father ferreting, shooting or simply running the family dogs (lurchers, terriers and whippets).

He developed an interest in traditional country pursuits which in turn lead to a passion for traditional methods of pest control. Over the years, Matthew has been fortunate to develop his passion for traditional methods of pest control into to a full time professional occupation, built on reputation, trust and the ability to deliver results.

At the heart of his business are the traditional methods of pest control that have been carried out by many generations of the Freeman family – methods adopted to simply manage the land and protect crops and livestock.
